Haines is a census-designated place (CDP) in Haines Borough, Alaska. It is located on the shores of the Lynn Canal on the eastern panhandle.

Haines sits amongst stunning natural beauty and an abundance of wildlife. Guided tours offer close encounters with a variety of animals in their natural habitats as well as give historical and cultural perspectives. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Haines are the bald eagles that appear annually between the months of October and February. During this time Haines has the largest concentration of bald eagles in the world.

The Sheldon Museum & Cultural Centre presents memorabilia and artefacts that represent the history of Haines people and land.
