Goodyear is a city in Maricopa County in Arizona. It is situated on the Interstate 10 west of Phoenix and Avondale.

The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company purchased 16,000 acres of land in the Goodyear area in 1917. They used this land to cultivate cotton for vehicle tire threads. Goodyear became a town in November 1946 and reached city status in 1985. White Tank Mountain Regional Park is located about 10 miles northwest of Goodyear and covers over 30,000 acres. The barrier-free Waterfall Trail boasts spectacular and varied desert plants and a seasonal waterfall and is the most visited trail in the system. The park is open year round and offers camping facilities, eleven major trails and a ten mile competitive track.
