Coral Springs is a city in Broward County in the state of Florida. It is located on Florida's southern Atlantic coast twenty minutes northwest of Pompano Beach, fifty minutes northwest of Miami and is part of the South Florida metropolitan area. Coral Springs is only thirty-five minutes from Port Everglades, the second busiest cruise port in the world, and thirty minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Today the City of Coral Springs is a sprawling city with few tall or prominent structures. More than 50 municipal parks, including a water park and a skate park, fill more than over 675 acres of managed land. Mullins Park is the largest park in the city. The city’s downtown area has recently been under an extensive redevelopment plan. This massive project includes "The Walk," an open-air shopping and entertainment center and new office, retail, and government centres covering three million square feet of floor space. 1,000 residential units and a new hotel will also reside in the area upon project competition.

The Coral Springs Center for the Arts opened in 1990 and offers a variety of entertainment and artistic events for all ages and interests. This uniquely designed intimate 1471 seat theatre has a fully enclosed balcony which envelope the audience chamber bringing performer and viewer together. A diverse selection of productions are hosted here including comedy, jazz and pop concerts, Opera, Broadway shows and Symphony Orchestras.

Coral Springs provides easy access to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the South Florida metropolitan area. Attractions in these areas include the Calder Race Course, IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach, International Swimming Hall of Fame, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Sportsplex at Coral Springs and the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital.

The Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce has hosted the “Our Town” festival since 1979 attracting up to 200,000 visitors in recent years. The event has a car show, parade, a beauty pageant and carnival rides. Other festivals are held throughout the year include the Fiesta Coral Springs and the Festival of the Arts.
